23 February 2016; The Women's Gaelic Players Association presented its third level scholarships for 2016 today at Druid's Glen Hotel in Wicklow. A total of 23 scholarships have been awarded to third-level students who are also intercouty Ladies Football and Camogie players, with the message to the recipients to "Go Higher" both on and off the field. Players from 16 different counties, studying both undergraduate and postgraduate courses have been awarded in the second year of the scheme by the WGPA, which now has over 1,100 members.
